CHINA/TIBET

The history of Tibet and China has intertwined over centuries. The dilemma faced is whether Tibet should be independent from China. The Tibeten view is that China is controlling and arrogant; the Chinese view is that they are helping Tibet and saving them from what imperialists attempted to do to China. At one point, rebellions got so dangerous, the Tibetan leader, the Dalai Lama was forced out of the country and to this day remains in India - ruling from afar.
